China-Latin America artificial intelligence cooperation accelerates with concrete projects

Cooperation in artificial intelligence between China and Latin American countries has accelerated in recent months, with concrete projects already up and running in various countries across the region.

In Brazil, a Chinese team developed a smart power transmission line inspection platform based on image recognition and big data, adapted to the country's tropical rainforest and mountainous terrain, significantly reducing the risk of field maintenance work.

In Chile, Chinese technology companies have actively participated in digital infrastructure development: Huawei, among others, has built several data centers in the country, helping position it as a regional data and AI hub for neighboring countries.

Mexico recently hosted the "China-Mexico Smart Economy Development Opportunities Seminar," where representatives from both countries discussed the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the region and the outlook for smart economy cooperation between China, Mexico, and Latin America more broadly.

According to Chinese official media, artificial intelligence has become a key pillar for deepening mutually beneficial, practical cooperation between China and Latin America, linking joint channels in policy, industry, talent, and technology.
